Brian is a PhD student in the Department of Biological Sciences working with the students and professors of the department’s Stream Team.  His work addresses the coupled biogeochemical cycling of nitrogen and phosphorus in headwater streams.  Brian’s theoretical contributions will be extended to address how management practices directed at multiple elements simultaneously may promote enhanced water quality.  Brian is currently finishing his first year at Virgnia Tech under the guidance of Dr. H. Maurice Valett.
